Roll, Lift and Relax – Quick Fix for Slumping

Do you get stuck at your computer for hours at a time and feel progressively worse as you gradually slump into a hunched over wreck?  Energy draining away… shoulders aching…a headache starting to creep up from the base of your neck…?

I found a brilliantly quick three step fix for this postural landslide in a recent edition of the National Strength and Conditioning Association’s Strength and Conditioning Journal:

Step 1 – Roll your pelvis forward.

Step 2 – Lift sternum slightly (bring chest up and shoulders down and back)

Step 3 – Retract and relax neck (pull your head back so your ears are in line with your shoulders)

Simple!  Three steps to improve your postural alignment.  I’ll bet you’ll feel instantly better when you try it.
