WELLNESS CENTER RULES & REGULATIONS
Check-in, Guests, General
- All members are required to have their picture taken for security purposes.
- You must use your membership card for admittance into the Wellness Center.
- We require all guests to be accompanied by a club member.
- Members are allowed one free guest on the designated free guest day(s).
- We are unable to accept cash for transactions over $25.
- Staff not responsible for personal belongings of members.
Indoor Pool and Jacuzzi
- No Lifeguard on Duty.
- Do not use when alone.
- Footwear must be worn to and from the swimming pool area.
- Children under 18 are only allowed in the pool during instructional swim lessons with a certified instructor.
- The Jacuzzi is closed every Thursday from 11:30AM to 2:00PM for cleaning. Hours are subject to vary.
- We reserve the right to close the pool at any time. Signs will be posted at least one week in advance, except for emergencies.
- There is a 30 minute time limit for lap lanes when other members are waiting.
- No food or drink is allowed in the indoor pool area.
- All persons are required to take a cleansing shower or bath before entering the pool or Jacuzzi.
- No bather shall wear an unclean bathing suit.
- No person suffering a fever, cough, cold, inflammation of the eyes, nasal or ear discharges, or any communicable disease shall be allowed the use of the pool or Jacuzzi.
- No person with sores or other evidence of skin disease, or who is wearing a bandage or medical covering of any kind, shall be allowed to the use of the pool or Jacuzzi.
- No person shall spit in or in any other way contaminate the pool, or its floors, walkways, aisles, or locker rooms.
- No glass, with the exception of shatterproof light shields, shall be permitted in the pool or on walkways within eight feet of the pool.
- No person shall bring or throw into the pool any object that may in any way contamination or endanger the safety of bathers.
- No one under the age of 18 is allowed in the Jacuzzi.
- Do not use while under the influence of alcohol, anticoagulants, antihistamines, vasoconstrictors, vasodilators, stimulants, hypnotics, narcotics or tranquilizers.
- Elderly persons, pregnant women, and persons suffering from heart disease, diabetes, high or low blood pressure should not use the Jacuzzi until they consult with their physician.
- Do not use the Jacuzzi if the water temperature is above 104 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Observe a reasonable time limit (i.e. ten minutes) when using the Jacuzzi, then cool down, and if you wish, return for another brief stay. Long exposure may result in nausea, dizziness, or fainting.
- The use of oils and body lotion by bathers is prohibited.
Locker Room
- Never leave clothing, etc in the sauna.
- Curling irons, hot rollers and/or straighteners should not be left unattended.
- Hairdryers should never be left on and unattended.
- Long lockers are for day use only –Lock will be cut if left on locker overnight
- Place used towels in the bins provided.
- Don't take up the whole bench in the locker room with all of your belongings.
- Clean up after yourself, i.e., pick up your towels, wipe your loose hairs out of the sink, etc.
- Remember to check the locker area before you leave for personal items such as phones, iPods, locks, etc.
- The Clubs at Charles River Park are not responsible for lost or stolen items.
Steam Room
- Please do not pour water or place wet towels on the steam room sensor. This will damage the steam unit.
Group Fitness
- NO STREET SHOES allowed in the Studio.
- Please refrain from wearing perfume or cologne.
- Saving studio floor space is prohibited.
- Please do not disrupt classes. No one is allowed to enter class after the warm up.
Strength Training & Cardio Areas
- Don’t sit on equipment between sets. Don't sit on a machine you're not using or when you're between sets. Please let others "work in" (alternate) with you.
- Return weights and dumbbells to their designated storage rack after use.
- Don't slam, drop, clank or throw your weights when you are finished.
- Abusive language is offensive to others and will not be tolerated.
- Members are required to clean each machine after use. Please wipe off the equipment with the cleaner and paper towels provided throughout the club when you're finished.
- Please watch where you're going. Don’t move close to others while they are performing an exercise.
- Non scuff, athletic, rubber sole shoes must be worn at all times. No dress shoes, open toes shoes, boots, or sandals are permitted.
- Don't tote around your gym bag. Gym bags on the floor are a hazard.
- If you are unsure how to use a piece of equipment, please ask the Fitness Staff on duty.
- Silence is golden. Don't assume people are interested in hearing your conversation when you work out, especially on the cardio equipment. Cell phones are a “no-no” on cardio equipment. Like driving a car, it’s a distraction and you could cause an accident (to yourself). Concentrate on your form and your breathing.
- Proper hygiene required. Keep yourself and your workout clothes clean. Body odor can be offensive to others.
- Shirts must be worn at all times in the Boston fitness center.
- Please adhere to 30-minute equipment time limit if other members are waiting.
- Use the sign up boards for cardio equipment when it's busy.
Individuals not adhering to these policies may be asked to leave.
Management reserves the right to revoke the membership of anyone who violates the rules.
