Sports and fitness has always been my passion. I played Division 2 softball during college, coached high school soccer and track & field, and currently play in a women’s soccer league. For the past 10+ years, I have trained a variety of individuals in both personal sessions and group classes.

My aim is to create a positive and fun experience for clients, by designing exercise programs that fit the individual needs and goals they are looking to achieve.

One of my favorite accomplishments here at the Club is connecting with members in our small group training classes and watching people achieve things they never thought they could have - like a heavy deadlift! If you’re ready to reach your goals let’s connect!

“A weight is not impressive. People move heavy things poorly all the time. SKILL is impressive. Chase that instead.”

Katie and I meet weekly for an hour. We began my training the first week in April 2021, two weeks after my second covid shot. Before starting, she was very attentive to evaluate my strength, balance, flexibility, and overall fitness. As a 70-year-old man, my objective was to gain strength and endurance while also not getting injured. These goals were exceeded. Two examples: chest pressing 50 pounds, three sets of 10 reps — and tripod rowing 44 pounds (20kg), three sets of 10 reps on each arm. Katie is remarkable in how she correctly gauges just the right weight, repetitions, and sets for each exercise plus the right number and types of exercise for each workout — while correctly pacing progress over time. She carefully documents all workouts on Google docs so I can repeat the workouts properly on my own (which I do at least twice each week). I especially like how she actually coaches me through an entire 60-minute workout rather than just show me each exercise and watch me repeat it. I also appreciate her coaching style, asking me to make subtle adjustments without her being critical. Her sense of humor and approachable manner make our training sessions both fun and productive.
